The beginning of Glamour The bus 66-gang was full of ups and downs. Though there were many small disputes, the bus 66-gang resolved them in a short time. These girls are all from the same school and are of the same age. Each unique and different yet united as one. Soon three of the glamorous seven girls decided to change the 66-gang into a friendly family. The appointed name for the family is none other than Glamour. (This I do know why)
The family status Father – Joanna Quek Mother – Stefanie Xie Eldest sister – Cassandra Quek (supposedly Kristie, but Cassandra disapproves of it. Yes, she is a persistent duck. We love her nonetheless though.) 2nd sister – Kristie Chen 3rd sister – Karen Tan 4th sister – Denise Han 5th sister – Jane Lim 6th sister – Jolyn Foo 7th sister – Chen Jieying And last but not least in the year 2004 a new member was recruited… 1st Granddaughter – Priscilla Lim (I think her parents are Jieying and Karen)
Yes indeed, these girls have formed a very queer friendly family. But they are a happy loving bunch of girls.
Characters of these girls (In the eyes of their Father – Joanna) All eight of them are different from one another. Let us skip the father’s character.
Mother (Stefanie Xie) – She’s rather naggy and “aunty” like. But oh, don’t be mistaken. There’s a mature and caring lady in her. It’s no wonder why she is the chosen one. *Note: During sec 3-4, she was one of the active Energy (boy-band) fans.
Eldest daughter (Cassandra Quek) – Don’t be fooled by her little and petite size. A little duck full of determination and will. Yet big in heart and soft hearted. An emotional girl (On her 17th Birthday, she cried as her heart goes out to the song – You Yi Tian by Lin Jun Jie. What a touching sight it was. Sobs.)
2nd daughter (Kristie Chen) – A faithful concert-band member, if I’m not wrong she plays the trombone. Forgive me if I’m wrong. A girl who’s quite quiet at times, but amazing loud when with the right company. And she always poses with her infamous Twist-pose when taking photographs. (I wonder if she still does it till today)
3rd daughter (Karen Tan) – Sweet, emotional, sensitive, vivacious, lively, bubbly, and the list goes on. Girl with lots of words and laughter. She and Jieying are the eating queens; they love to try out new flavors and do not really mind splurging. Though coming from a not-so-well-to-do family background, she is not deprived of a happening and normal teenage life. (Dad just wants to say sorry again for screaming at you accidentally when we were sec3) *Note: Karen is one of the more active fans of Energy (boy-band). She even collected the packet drink they had finished drinking.
4th daughter (Denise Han) – A girl who is a good writer and I believe will one day be a author or a well-known journalist. She is studying in the same course in Temasek Polytechnic as Joanna (the father). Both of them detest school because it’s rather pressurizing. Denise is has very funny quirks such as punching some one when she sees a punch-buggy. (I think it’s a beetle car, I’m not so sure. She punched me once though. Ouch)
5th daughter (Jane Lim) – Jane Jane Jane, what have we got to say, we are very proud of her as she had grown and changed so much over the years. Do note that she is going to be Glamour’s future nurse, so we are all in good hands. (I hope) Jane gets embarrassed easily and doesn’t successfully hides it, she laughs out rather loudly or either she does some very weird actions that I cannot describe. But she is indeed a very funny girl and we have adapted to her quirky yet cute behavior. She is a excellent and avid swimmer, which explains her big built. (But hey, she’s got loads of muscles. Beware. Do not anger her. Or else…) *Note: Jane is also one of the active fans of Energy. She collected the straws of their packet drinks.
6th daughter (Jolyn Foo) – How cute can this little girl can get. She’s so blur at times that one can just bang the wall and die. But do not judge her by her blur-ness; she’s a black belt holder in Taekwondo. She can “a-char” you in a wink of an eye! (We have many strong girls in our family, don’t you think so?). Jolyn is a fan of Jay Chou and she finds him very attractive. (I have no idea why)
7th daughter (Chen Jieying) – The most indecisive and fussy girl in the family. (Shakes head) During secondary school, she always has the bad habit of eating the slowest. So everybody has to wait for her and thus having to rush up the stairs in order no to be late for lessons. But luckily we are out of SAC, so no more stair racing for us. Jieying also has another bad habit of talking so much and forgetting to eat her food. (A recent example is her Kenny Rogers muffin, which I think she didn’t finish) Positively, she is one of the most humorous girls in the family; she never fails to make everyone laugh. She’s a young girl with romantic fantasies. (i.e. She wants a guy to propose to her if he wishes her to be his girlfriend) *Note: Jieying is one of the most active fans of Energy. She was willing to spend 2 days and 1 night queuing outside Heerens shopping mall to get an autograph.
Lastly, 1st Granddaughter (Priscilla Lim) – She is cute because she looks like a mouse. I think during our sec 4 days we had a mousey gang in our class, she was one of them, if I’m not wrong. She has an appetite of a mouse too; she eats and eats and eats. But amazingly, she never grows fat. Probably, she inherited the same genes from her parent, Jieying. Prissy is what most people call her, so we call her that too. So in Glamour, we have two ducks name, Joanna and Cassandra, and a mouse name Prissy.
So the story goes on for these 8 girls. Though not all belonging to the same school and not taking the same 66 bus again, these girls will continue to meet and update each other about their lives.
